Dear Masubah Nadeem,
After reading your Journal Manuscript, I learned about how technology plays a big role in teaching us more about Iran. Specifically, on Iranian women and them fighting for their rights . It is significant to show the impact of how Iranian films and how they portray women in films. Your journal also shows how women today are affected in Iran and the steps they have to take to make a change. I like how you mention Sahar and the big step she had to take such as setting herself on fire to be able to get justice and help remove the ban of women not being able to attend football games where men are playing. I also like how you mention the importance of the way women are portrayed shows a cultural influence on gender representations. One thing that I feel like you might want to improvise on is that you used the film, “ The Separation”, but you did not make a connection to how it relates to Iranian women and how the female character is influenced by culture.
Sincerely,
Hefza Aslam
